Support for contemporary art in the Balkans
PresentationThe Singer-Zahariev Foundation is a non-profit organization established with the mission of promoting contemporary art in Bulgaria. It was founded in 2020 by Kathrin Singer and Kamen Zahariev—a German-Bulgarian couple active in art collecting and support. Today, both dedicate a significant part of their lives to the development of contemporary art in Bulgaria and the wider Balkan region.
The Foundation’s primary focus is supporting Bulgarian artists and curators across the entire spectrum of the arts.
The Foundation also established the Balkan Contemporary Art Prize, spanning ten countries, with the aim of drawing attention to contemporary Balkan artists and fostering cultural exchange within the region.
