"Direction: STRONG": Art and Shared Experience

What happens when an artist does not merely interpret a theme but engages directly with the people and experiences behind it? "Direction: STRONG" is a multidisciplinary art project by the EMPROVE Foundation, in which encounters between artists and women who have overcome abusive relationships serve as a creative starting point. The project focuses on the art residency model and on nurturing the artists' inner worlds throughout the process.

"Direction: STRONG" Art Residency

The documentary explores the creative and personal journeys of the artists during a five-day residency as part of EMPROVE’s "Direction: STRONG" project—tracing the path from their initial perceptions of intimate partner violence and life in its aftermath to their encounters with female survivors, and the profound impact these interactions had on both the artists themselves and their work.
