“Rakursi” is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2004 in Sofia by Rumyana Yoneva and Rositsa Chusheva.
The gallery is a living space with its own identity, open to various types of media. It works with a wide range of Bulgarian and foreign artists whose works carry significant messages for modern man, promotes young authors, works on its own curatorial projects and is a partner in national and international programs.
The gallery participates in fairs (Art Ireland 2007, Art Athens 2016), art festivals and presents contemporary Bulgarian art abroad (Berlin, London, Antwerp).
The “Rakursi” team collaborates with universities, schools and institutions related to the cultural and creative industries.
The goal of the gallery is to deepen the dialogue between artists, connoisseurs and collectors and to expand the audience of contemporary art.
The gallery team works with diverse communities on socially engaged projects.
At the Sofia Art Fair, Rakursi Gallery participates with the project "Constructed Reality”. The gallery presents Bozhidar Boyadzhiev, Simeon Stoilov and Radoil Serafimov. Three artists from different generations, united by a conceptual approach to painting, in which reality is not reproduced, but interpreted and constructed. This is the result of a painting process — a field in which perception, memory and inner experience build parallel versions of the visible.
