As Sofia Art Fair 2026 approaches, we are opening the doors to one of Eastern Europe’s most significant contemporary art events—a space where ideas, artists, and audiences converge, and culture transforms into an experience.
This year, we invite you to join the team behind it all.
We are looking for responsible, motivated, and committed volunteers ready to work in a dynamic environment, assist international participants, and contribute to the professional execution of the fair.
What to expect - A chance to go behind the scenes of a major international art event. - Opportunities to work with artists, curators, galleries, and partners from Bulgaria and abroad. - Being part of a team that values creativity, initiative, and high ethical standards.
Volunteer activities include - Welcoming and guiding visitors; - Assisting exhibitors and artists; - Helping with installations, events, and workshops; - Supporting communication and social media efforts; - Maintaining order and assisting the core team.
Commitment period The volunteer commitment spans the period from October 5 to October 12 and comprises three main stages: preparation, the event itself, and the final wrap-up. Work will take place from October 9 to October 11 across two shifts; volunteers may choose the shift that best fits their availability.
To ensure smooth organization, we expect volunteers to commit to the full duration of the engagement and participate actively in all stages of the program.
What you will receive - A certificate of appreciation; - Hands-on field experience; - Networking opportunities within the Bulgarian and international art scenes; - A professional environment and a strong team experience; - A small gift from the organizers.
If you would like to get involved, please fill out the form below, and we will contact you.
The volunteer program begins with two introductory days on October 5 and 6, dedicated to training, briefings, and familiarization with the venues, the team, and the roles involved in Sofia Art Fair 2026.
On October 7 and 8, volunteers will assist with the setup and preparation of the exhibition spaces.
The days open to the public will take place from October 9 to 11, with work organized into morning and afternoon shifts based on participant availability. The program concludes on October 12 with the dismantling of the exhibition, packing up materials, and the final wrap-up of the event.
