Invitation to artists: Virtual is the new creative field

What happens when contemporary art meets the virtual space?
We are looking for 10 bold and conceptually driven artists who are ready to push the boundaries of traditional forms and create spatial works in virtual reality.
This exhibition builds upon last year’s successful project, where six artists presented their creative visions through virtual reality, captivating the hearts and imaginations of the audience. Now, we are ready to take it further – with more artists, more dimensions, and even more immersive experiences.
What we offer?
• The opportunity for artists to receive training and work with cutting-edge VR tools;
• Access to equipment for creating virtual artworks;
• A platform to showcase their creative vision within Sofia Art Fair 2025 – one of the country’s most significant art events – through participation in an innovative VR or AR exhibition.
Who we are looking for?
• Young artists, visual creators, and digital experimenters with a clear conceptual idea, aged up to 35;
• Readiness to work on their pieces within the Virtual and Extended Reality Lab at Sofia Tech Park, following a pre-arranged schedule between May and August 2025;
• The ability to adapt to new technologies and a willingness to take creative risks.
Artist selection:
• 6 artists will create virtual reality (VR) works;
• 4 artists will develop augmented reality (AR) projects.
