Perla

A gallery apartment shaped by the intimacy of a home and the curiosity of a collector. Founded by curator and art dealer Zoya Petrova, Perla was formed by the a fascination with what happens when an artwork leaves the neutrality of the white cube and enters an inhabited space. Perla explores all forms of contemporary and modern art and brings together artists at different stages of their carreers, united less by style than by a sensitivity to technique, concept, gesture and the poetic possibilities of the everyday. The gallery develops long-term relationships with artists and collectors through exhibitions, studio visits, private viewings, institutional and international projects. We are interested in the moment when looking becomes attachment, when an artwork ceases to be something encountered and becomes something lived with.
