MASSONE ARTE

Genoa, Italy

MASSONE ARTE, founded 44 years ago, has had a new location for three years now in the historic heart of Genoa, across from the Museo Nazionale di Palazzo Spinola, an area with a strong concentration of cultural foundations.

The Gallery presents itself as a meeting point for contemporary artists (both Italian and international) who have collaborated with museums, offering aesthetic, cultural, and financial value. Originally founded as a cultural association, MASSONE ARTE has worked with leading critics (among others, Luciano Caramel, Pierre Restany, Rossana Bossaglia, Nicola Micieli, Achille Bonito Oliva, Enzo di Martino, Lorenzo Arriga, Lucio Cabutti, Antonio Basile, Marco Lorandi, Denis Isaia) and institutions such as the Fondazione Marino Marini, Palazzo della Ragione in Bergamo, the Pohjanmaan Museum in Vaasa (Finland), the Yacht Club de Monaco, the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Genoa European Capital of Culture 2004, and the Municipality of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat (France).

Among the artists MASSONE ARTE has worked with or represents are: Jean-Michel Folon, Aidan Salakhova, Mario Sironi, Pino Pinelli, Marco Ferri, Gregor Prugger, Riccardo Licata, Rossana Fiorini, Kan Yasuda, Kyoji Nagatani, Luitz Brochaus, Artan Shabani, and Giampiero Poggiali.

The Genoa gallery is run by Giovanna Massone. The gallery is experiencing strong growth and is exceptionally dynamic. Every featured artist has been hosted for solo exhibitions in both national and international museums.
