Grafikart Gallery

Grafikart Gallery was founded in 2018 in Sofia, Bulgaria, as a dedicated space for the art of printmaking in all its forms—from traditional printmaking techniques to contemporary experimental practices. Today, it is recognized as one of the few galleries in Bulgaria devoted exclusively to printmaking and drawing.

The gallery's mission is to promote printmaking while fostering meaningful connections between established artists, emerging talents, collectors, and art enthusiasts. Through an ambitious programme of solo and group exhibitions, international collaborations, curatorial projects, and educational initiatives, Grafikart Gallery explores the evolving role of printmaking as a dynamic medium in contemporary art.

Committed to supporting the development of Bulgarian printmaking, the gallery co-organizes, in partnership with the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture, the National Competition for Classical Printmaking Techniques Held every two years, the competition encourages young artists to engage with traditional printmaking practices while contributing to their preservation and continued relevance.

Over the years, Grafikart Gallery has established a strong international presence through regular participation in leading art fairs and exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad. By consistently presenting its artists at major contemporary art events, the gallery actively promotes Bulgarian printmaking on the international stage and creates new opportunities for cultural exchange between artists, collectors, museums, and institutions.
