Martina Yordanova

Curator, Researcher

Martina Yordanova is a curator and researcher based in Sofia. She graduated in Media Sciences and Journalism (Bachelor, Master) at the University of Vienna. Since 2020, he has been working at the National Gallery in Sofia, Bulgaria. Martina Yordanova is the director of the 25th Biennale of Humor and Satire in Art in Gabrovo in 2022 together with Margarita Dorovska and Olav Westphalen. She is the initiator and curator of “1m2 Art” – a project based in Veliko Tarnovo. Martina Yordanova is also the curator of the Ritual Gatherings festival, which takes place on Kamchia beach in Bulgaria in 2022. In 2023, she initiated the Yatrus Resident Program in Veliko Tarnovo, which aims to present collaboration in various disciplines with artists and curators from the international scene.

In her practice as a curator, Martina Yordanova examines and develops the relationships between exhibit, curator, artist, audience and exhibition space.
