Stephan Stoyanov founded and successfully managed the Luxe Gallery from 2002 to 2014. The gallery is located on 57th Street, New York in a historic building. The artists he represents participate in some of the most prestigious events, namely: the Venice Biennale, the Whitney Biennale, the Sharjah Biennale and the Busan Biennale. As well as in institutions such as MoMA New York, Mori Museum in Tokyo, Tate Modern, Saatchi Gallery in London and many others.
Stephan Stoyanov advises both private individuals and institutions, including MOMA Moscow, MOMA Tbilisi and the Moscow Biennale.
In 2014, his family – his nephews – returned him to Bulgaria. He closed his place in New York. He began organizing exhibitions all over the world and advised institutions, aristocrats, and tycoons on their investments in art and the formation and addition of their own collections. In 2017, he created Art Agency in Bulgaria. He curates exhibitions in the most prestigious museums and galleries around the world, of authors of contemporary and classical art from different parts of the world. He is behind the successful performances of artists such as Rashid al-Khalifa – Sheikh of Bahrain and the number one artist in the Middle East, Aidan Salakhova, Zurab Tsereteli. In recent years, he has been a strategic advisor to the Contemporary Art Fair in Vienna.
