Ina Valentinova

Sofia Art Fair 2024 presents Ina Valentinova.

Ina Valentinova, born 1995, is a contemporary artist, working in various mediums. She is currently a Phd student in Methodology of teaching Fine Arts in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. In her artwork and teaching practice which are deeply entwined, she is interested in many topics, but mainly in the concepts of animism, relations between people and nature and spirituality. She creates bright, vibrant images that suggest a soft utopian state, but they are caused by a strong frustration with the current global political and environmental situation. Nature in its different forms is the power that moves the artist’s fantastic narratives. There is a combination of cultural, anthropological and religious references in her prints and drawings, paintings and weavings. The artist’s sincere spiritual revelation is illustrated in order to serve as an example for the observers to reflect images from their own personal imagination.
